The World's Biggest Burger! Yum :)

A Canadian chef tried to set a new world record earlier this month by grilling up what he hopes is the world's largest hamburger, the Toronto Sun reported.

Barbecue master Ted Reader created the 590-pound behemoth burger in downtown Toronto, using enough meat to make 2,360 quarter pounders.

Reader spent six hours sizzling up the 300-plus pound beef patty, which was then tucked into a 105-pound bun and topped with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, red onions, pickles and barbecue sauce, the Sun reported.

"I'm amazed that we got it out of the grill and onto the bun," Reader told the paper. "That was the whole trickiness to it, but it held together, it's edible, it's delicious."

Reader told the Sun he didn't care if he actually broke the Guinness World Record for burgers of unusual size.

"Whether they say 'yea' or they say 'nay', I don't care. We built it, now we're going to serve it," he said. "We tried to do all the checks and balances and make sure we followed the rules. Let's hope they go, 'Yea'."
The standing "world's largest burger" weighs in at a measly 185.8 pounds.

The burger was auctioned off, raising $8,500 Canadian to benefit Camp Bucko, an Ontario-based camp for children with burn injuries, the Sun reported.
